Men's Classic

A balanced and symmetrical physique is required in Classic. This category is based on a height weight ratio which competitors must adhere to in order to be eligible to compete. The aim of the height weight ratio is to limit excessive size and ensure the competitors have the classic aesthetic look.

Fitness is the perfect division for women who have a gymnastic, aerobic, dance or similar. The look can be classed as fit and athletic but the competitor should be able to perform a routine displaying strength and flexibility.

Women's Wellness

Women's Wellness

The wellness division is intended for women who prefer a physique without muscle separation and who wish to be athletic and aesthetically pleasing with a bigger body mass than in the bikini.

Muscular Men's Physique

Muscular Men's Physique

This category will follow the same format as the original men's physique category, however with only one open category at this stage. This category is intended for competitors with slightly bigger muscularity than as is accepted in regular men's physique.

We have a number of age based categories as follows:

Men's bodybuilding

  • TEENAGE
    This category is open to body builders from 16 years to the end of the year that you turn 19 years old. An example would be if your 19th birthday is June 10th 2017 then you are eligible to compete in Teenage until the 31st December 2017
  • JUNIOR
    This category is open to male body builders until the end of the year of their 23rd birthday.
  • MASTERS
    This category is open to male body builders aged 40 and above. In some of our competitions we also have an over 50 years’ division.

Women's Figure

  • MASTERS
    This category is open to women over the age of 35 years and 40. This will depend on numbers of competitors as to how many divisions are available on the day.

Bikini

  • JUNIOR
    This category is open to women aged 23 and under. On the 31st December of the year you turn 23, you will no longer be eligible for Juniors.

Men's Physique

  • JUNIOR
    If a minimum of 3 age eligible competitors are competing, we may have a junior category for men for up to 23 years old and until the 31st December of the year of turning 23.
